Tone Fjereide (born 1963), grew up in Tromsø, a city in the Northern part of Norway . She lives and work in Oslo Norway.
Graduated from Håndverk og kunstindustriskolen, Institute of Textile, Oslo, 1998 (KHIO) and hold a Master’s program in Project Management from BI, Oslo, 2007.
She has been working as a producer, curator and project manager for various arts projects, as an art consultant for Oslo municipality and have done several commission works.
Fjereide is one of the funders of Can Serrat art center (1989) canserrat.org, located in El Bruc, a small village that skirts the mountain of Montserrat, forty-five kilometers from Barcelona.
She has received several grants and a award at «Høstutstillingen» in Oslo 1997.
Have had participation in various group exhibitions and held a few solo shows.
Member of NBK, NNBK (board member 2014-2018).
She works with different materials and mediums such as textile, painting, graphic printing and installations.
The term is abstract or related to issues of identity, heritage, environment and relationships. Fjereide use colors as an important ingrediens in all her work.
