What is it?
The research cruise is happening in collaboration with University of Tromsø – The Arctic University of Norway and other research institutions.
We give an artist the possibility to join 28 researchers and the crew on a cruise with the ship Helmer Hansen. The ship will begin and end its cruise in Tromsø and sail in the region of the Lofoten and Vesterålen islands during 15.6.-27.6.2018. The main focus for this research cruise in to undertake investigations collecting information on Raudåte (Calanus finmarchicus), which is one of the most important sources of nutrition for several fish and animals in the ocean.
North Norwegian Art Centre supports the round trip travel to Tromsø (within Norway). All meals during the trip are included on board.
